PostSubject: Christmas and gaming   Sat Nov 22, 2014 9:38 pm

So, Christmas is closing in, and we all know what that means: 2 weeks of relaxing and playing video games.
(At least this Christmas for me, more on that layer)

Since it's been a little quiet on the cod4 side of things and I don't really spend as much time on TS3 as I do on the forums, I decided it's time to look into playing other games as well.

I recently bought Assassin's Creed Unity, and after the installation realized that it's impossible to run on most modern hardware - so I kind of went and bought an i7 4790K and a GTX 980. Hooray. (6core and HD 6950 crossfire got less than 10fps on the absolute minimum graphics settings.)

I'm having a minor medical procedure done halfway through December that's going to make it quite difficult for me to move for a while, so I figured I'd rather not get bored by myself.

The question is: what games are you going to play in Christmas?

For me the answer depends quite a lot on other people's decisions, but I will definitely be playing some Dragon Age Inquisition,  Assassin's Creed Unity, CoD4, Advanced Warfare and of course: DotA 2.

True! :3 (datis hates me for now Very Happy) Both sucks rabbit

For me xmas usually means that i'm either at parents or at some friends/bro's home and spend my xmas there so won't be playing much at xmas. If I play something I guess it'll be either world of tanks or CoD4, sc2 requires too much consentration to play Very Happy

Happy xmas' waiting santa

All of the above are on my desktop. (Including Dota). If you wanna play something after your operation, just ask. I'm probably going to be buying / downloading all the new releases.

I'm trying do decide whether i want to buy the newest CALLODUUTI or not.
My computer had hard time running ghosts and it was overall a shit game.
I also know that Ghosts was poorly ported to pc so if somebody who has both of those games could tell me if AW runs smoother than Ghosts it would be greatly appreciated.

We all know that your PC is just shit, no need to blame Ghosts.

Tbf though, I played Ghost on a GTX Titan, with a 4.2Ghz Hexcore... I didn't get frame rate lag, but the detail was shocking compared to Blackops 2 or Advanced Warfare.

It's smoother, a lot. I've gtx 660 and it didn't run ghost that well but AW on highest reso and high settings, 60+ frames per second.
